If it’s any additional encouragement, I have the same scanner, and it works just fine on my shiny new MBP M5 Pro running 26.1.3 (a). I do use the ScanSnap Home software, so if the distinction you’re making is that you can use the original ScanSnap software on your Mojave MBP, then you’re right, of course.
Good to know. I’ve been assuming I could use it using ScanSnap Home on my M1 Mini (Sonoma) but the little 13” MBP just keeps going.
I have a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 about 15 years old. On a MacBook Neo (Tahoe), one of the first things I did was install ScanSnap Manager from this link https://web.archive.org/web/20240822211750if_/https://origin.pfultd.com/downloads/IMAGE/driver/ss/inst/ix1500/m-software/MacManagerV72L70WW.dmg
Plugged in the scanner via a USB-C hub, and it just works!
Has anyone tried this V72L70WW Mac Manager in Tahoe with an S1300, and the results are…? it looks like a large download, intended for ix 1500 and prob other ix series, and I’m close to my 4 week bandwidth limit…
Haven’t been following this thread closely, so forgive me if this isn’t relevant, but 6 March 2026 ### VueScan 9.8.53 Release Notes mention three ScanSnap issues fixed.
