Apple has released version 15.3 of Keynote, Numbers, and Pages for both Apple Creator Studio subscribers and the rest of us. The updates make it easier for all users to replace images in your document from the Content Hub. For those with an Apple Creator Studio license, the updates let you open document images directly in Pixelmator Pro and see the edited version in your presentation, as well as generate custom, editable shapes from a text description. For those not paying for an Apple Creator Studio subscription, Keynote also adds fresh transitions and builds (including shift, radial wipe, and character blur), while Numbers lets you add colors to sheet tabs and hide or show individual sheets. I wasn’t getting a prompt in the apps or in Software Update to download the new versions. Went to the App Store and dowloaded them manually. It had the cloud/down-arrow icons so it was acknowledging the apps were on my computer. But the downloads did not overwrite the old apps. I now had both versions! 14.5 and 15.3. I decided to use an application uninstaller to remove all 6 apps, just to be sure there were no crossover issues, and then downloaded fresh copies of the current versions.
Weird thing in Keynote: when you do a remove background and then edit the image in Pixelmator Pro, the removed background is restored. Very silly……
