"429 Too Many Requests..." on https://discussions.apple.com

Is anyone else getting “429 Too Many Requests” error on https://discussions.apple.com after logging in right now? Or is it just me?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Not just you. Just tried it myself.

A 429 error is typically if your browser has sent requests too fast, and the server is trying to rate-limit you.

The fact that I just saw it on my first request tells me that there’s a server-side error. Nothing you can fix.

When I tried to login, the server said there were too many login attempts on my account, and that I had to unlock my account. Since I only tried once, either someone else tried (and failed) to guess my password or their server has gotten buggy - maybe sending a storm of corrupt requests to the server.

yes, me too. Not sure if it is related, but on my MacPro still running iTunes, I got a message about an iTunes.apple.com certificate being expired (see below)

It seems to be working for me now. So I assume Apple fixed it.
