Hello! recently using Orion browser, one day I couldn’t log in to Talk, clicking the Login button went directly to the Cloudflare challenge, which kept looping back to the checkbox window after I ticked the box (yes I am a human last time I checked ;-).
Changed to Firefox, which allowed logging in and passing challenge, but I’m finding scrolling through a thread, Firefox jumps back up some distance I haven’t yet determined, on the order of 1 to 2 screen heights, when I pause, which makes it a challenge to follow the comments…
Anyone else experienced this and found a solution?
MBAir M2 on 15.2; Firefox 128.10 (‘up to date’); built-in and original Apple BT touchpads same result.
I see this behavior using Firefox as well. Started a few months ago. Scrolling through an article works fine until I get down to the comments, then the screen starts jumping. I think Firefox does not like the JavaScript used to generate the comments. My work-around is to use the arrow keys and page-up and page-down (fn+up, fn+down).

Thanks @mkl , the spacebar for pagedown also works around!
Yes. See Threads jumping back a post during scrolling.
Only what @mkl mentioned.
Thanks @Will_M , my Talk search terms prior to posting didn’t uncover that Topic, thanks for pointing it out!
It looks like the Discourse developers are aware of this, but it might need more attention. I’d encourage those experiencing it to report it there.
