So on the topic of speed limiters, I’ve never driven a car with such a feature. For those who have, what happens in an emergency situation where the reasonable course of action is to temporarily accelerate? If you’re already at the speed limit, would you be unable to do so?

Dang. So I’ve just discovered my working memory range has dwindled to five days. 
When was this? I drove 17 several times in the 80s, 90s, &00s between Staten Island and Binghamton, never had a problem speed wise.
