Siri?

So I have 2 mobile devices, a iPad Pro and a 17 Pro. I have always tended to use the tablet mostly because it kinda is louder. It’s usually for weather, temperature, and timers. SOOO within the last few weeks I am getting increasingly annoyed because with no action on my part, a screen pops up with the Siri text entry and NO WAY to get rid of it exist type “stop.” Then is disappears. Sometimes it doesn’t happen for half a day and sometimes it constantly happens.

So I tried to find a way to shut it down, but it looks like the only way to to totally disable Apple Stupidity. Been 2 days now and that :loc up my tblet” seems to be no longer.

Anyone got a clue about this?

So I decided to make sure it worked on my phone. EXCEPT at least half my “siris” simply do NOT work. Nothing happens. If I face the screen 3 inches from my mouth, it wakes up. Otherwise I can shout till I’m blue in the face and get zero response.

Before this os 26, never, ever had such issues. AND they are going to revamp something that is totally broken… that didn’t used to be broken a year ago?

I can’t really figure out what you’re doing here, but you can turn off Type to Siri in one of two places, depending on whether Apple Intelligence is supported.

  • Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri > Type to Siri
  • Settings > Accessibility > Siri > Type to Siri

I turned it off a while back. BUT the issue was the “type to” keep popping up with no action on my part (it would obscure the screen while I was not touching the tablet, just reading something on screen)… AND that could NOT be dismissed, I had to hit the close button then hit it again to bring up the lock screen.and then it was gone.
