Flying Meat has released Retrobatch 2.3, adding the capability to compare a modified image against the original image using new toolbar modes. Using keyboard shortcuts, you can toggle between the original image (shortcut key “a”), the modified image (“b”), an animated view of the differences (“d”), and a split view (“s”). The bulk image processing utility now adds a Send Notification node that sends out system notifications when a workflow starts, ends, or for each image processed, adds a PDF Rasterizer node for converting all vector and text components of a PDF to full page images, includes an option in the Auto Level node to trim out the transparent area after a rotation, and updates the Write node with options to make indexed PNG files.
Retrobatch 2.3 also updates the preview canvas to render in 16 bits per component for deep color images when needed, improves speed when previewing images with the Multi Scale node, addresses a problem where the Extract Metadata node might fail, fixes a bug where the interface wasn’t properly updating when files were being preprocessed, uses use less memory when preprocessing images (especially when the Rotate node is used), and fixes a bug where Adobe Illustrator files with PDF compatibility turned on were not being read correctly.
