Marcin Wichary wrote a blog post ( Make yourself at home – Unsung ) in which he praised the ‘new’ behaviour when changing font size in iOS Safari. It shows that when you press either ‘A’, the chrome disappears. Also when it reaches 100%, it shows ‘100%’.
My phone doesn’t do that. It still shows the chrome and when at 100% it makes the two ‘A’ buttoms pop up. I tried disabling many extensions and changing appearance and accessibility settings to no avail. I’m on iOS 26.3. Marcin captured this on iOS 26.2.1 and also sees this in 26.3. He’s using an iPhone 17, I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro but noticed the same behaviour he describes on my wife’s iPhone 11.
So I’m curious whether anyone else is seeing the same behaviour I’m seeing or whether I’m the odd one out and everyone else is seening the same behaviour as described by Marcin. Obviously I’d greatly appreciate if anyone has any clue as to what could be causing this difference in behaviour.
