For filling out a tax organizer I’m using PDFPen 11.2.2, which I recall purchasing through TidBITS. Was I mistaken? I’m having trouble using the tools, but help videos aren’t available. I read online that it was bought by Nitro, but there’s no Mac help there that I can see. What to do?
Is there a user guide? Is there another PDF form filler-outer you’d recommend? I need to mark check boxes and type text.
Preview may be all you need—it has better form filling capabilities than in the past. Look at the rightmost button on the toolbar.
I agree with Adam. Although I have PDFPen Pro, I seldom use it just for filling forms, preferring Preview for speed and simplicity. If the document is not well formatted for form filling (not-OCRed or an image) I opt to export it as a ‘Word’ document using PDFPen and fill it using any word processor app
