New Tahoe HID mouse bug is driving me crazy

A few weeks ago, after a Tahoe upgrade, I noticed my Logitech G203 LightSync mouse was double-clicking almost every time I single clicked on the primary mouse button. I checked with Claude and it said it was a known Tahoe bug, but that Apple insisted it was something the third-party HID drivers like Logitech G HUB needed to fix.

I got tired of waiting for Logitech to fix it, so I finally took Claude’s advice and got rid of Logitech G HUB in favor of Mac Mouse Fix. I like it. It is small and elegant and works great for giving me a programmable third mouse button. But it did NOT fix this double-clicking bug.

I swear it is going to drive me nuts. Is anyone else experiencing this bug? Any suggestions (and no, I don’t want to switch to an Apple Magic Mouse as it has no third button).

Double-clicks are a symptom of the click sensor wearing out, and seems to be endemic to Logitech mice. I use up the clicks in a year or two.

I have a Logitech Marble Mouse that, as @mschmitt says, developed a double-click habit a few months ago. It has several years of use.
