iOS/macOS dication

In many instances, I find it so much easier, faster, and more convenient to dictate email messages, Day One journal entries, text messages, and most other verbose texts that I’m composing. Apple has made some major improvements to dictation, which makes it much more useful than it’s ever been.

Apple has implemented these commands for dictation, and for the most part they work very well.

I can say things like,

quote my name is talltrees comma it’s good to meet you period end quote
and it will be interpreted as, “my name is talltrees, its good to me you.” I love this!

However, there are a fews things that I’ve just not been able to get to function as expected in iOS, and I’m wondering if any of you have faired better than me? For instance, if I’m trying to capitalize a word, Apple lists the “Cap” and “Caps On” and “Caps Off” commands, but I’ve never been able to get them to work. If I’m lucky, the words will be temporarily capitalized and then “corrected” to be uncapitalized. And in MacOS there are a few that don’t work for me like using the numeral command.

Any suggestions on making this work?

Cheers!
