Default Folder X 6.3

St. Clair Software has issued Default Folder X 6.3 with support for macOS 27 Golden Gate and several handy improvements. The Open/Save dialog utility now enables you to pin recent files and folders in the menu to keep them available for quick access, adds the ability to copy the path of a selected item by simply clicking the displayed path in the Info pane below Open dialogs, allows sorting existing Finder tags by name or date, ensures the Finder-click feature no longer obscures windows floating over Open and Save dialogs, and avoids warning you if the app’s icon is behind the screen notch and the Say No to Notch app is running. The update also addresses a hang when adding folders in Settings > Folders, sorts out problems with recent settings changes not getting saved before restart and shutdown, fixes a bug that resulted in more iCloud traffic than necessary when syncing settings, eliminates oversized menu item icons in macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and removes the option to automatically download and install updates (which required displaying a prompt to relaunch, making it less than automatic).
