Reincubate has issued Camo Studio 2.5, adding a Screen Capture feature that lets you share an entire display or specific app windows (requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later). The virtual camera system also adds support for app audio capture, adds resolution and frame rate information to the Profiles selector in the titlebar, significantly improves CPU and power efficiency when the app is not actively in use, improves notifications and guidance when access to a streaming service is revoked or invalidated, prevents Camo Studio from being selectable as its own audio source to prevent feedback loops, resolves an issue where the audio mixer could prevent your Mac from sleeping, fixes a bug where background modes would occasionally fail to apply, ensures rotation and panning values don’t reset on the next app launch, and addresses fizzing and crackling sounds in the audio mixer.
