Busy Apps has released BusyCal 2025.4.3 and BusyContacts 2025.4.4 with improvements and bug fixes for the calendar and contact management apps. BusyCal redesigns the Day and Week views with a stacked event layout for better readability, improves visual precision in Day and Week views down to a minute, enhances drag-to-resize interactions in Day and Week views, reveals the exact start time of short-duration events in Day and Week views by hovering over them, improves handling of recurring tasks deleted from Apple’s Reminders and updates the Occurrence field to display age for birthdays. A subsequent BusyCal 2025.4.4 release features a redesigned Year view with a heat map and iconized birthdays, anniversaries, and journal entries, and supports drag-and-drop from the Task Panel to assign dates. Month name overlays are now sticky, new settings allow hiding of the time for single-line events and disable overlapping of events in the Day and Week views, and natural language processing now lets you specify calendars in Day and Week views using /calendar_name.
