Busy Apps has released BusyCal 2025.2.1 with a hefty collection of new features, improvements, and bug fixes for the calendar app, alongside a maintenance update for BusyContacts. BusyCal now enables you to propose new meeting times and email the organizer directly from the app, displays weather on the map in the Info Panel for events with a location starting within seven days, adds a new Convert to Journal context menu option, adds support for the keyword “allday” in natural language input to create all-day events, ensures Natural Language Input within Month View works for all-day banner events, and brings enhanced scaling of weekday names for better readability on higher timelines. It also improves detection and management of duplicate meetings from shared calendars in the menu bar app, truncates large notes when syncing with Google Tasks (to comply with Google’s limits), resolves an issue where manually sorting tasks within the Overdue section or the Priority sections failed, and fixes a bug around sunrise/sunset shading in day and week view.
BusyContacts 2025.2.1 adds support for syncing Outlook using Microsoft Graph (Microsoft’s enhanced syncing API), enables Custom Labels to be removed individually from history, improves handling of identical contacts across multiple address books, improves detection of addresses when pasting into an empty street field, and fixes a bug where loading a large number of linked relationships would sometimes cause the app to hang. BusyCal and BusyContacts now require a minimum of macOS 11.5 Big Sur.
