Apple Watch SE 3 watchOS 26 with macOS 15.7.5?

My MacBook Air M4 is on Sequoia (15.7.5), and I’m planning to keep it that way until I see how macOS 27 shakes out. I currently have an Apple Watch SE2 on watchOS 26.5, paired with my iPhone 17e, which works to unlock my Mac. I’m considering trading in the SE2 for an SE 3, which I would also keep on watchOS 26.

I’m hoping that the SE 3 on watchOS 26 would still be compatible with the Mac running Sequoia. It seems that it should, since the SE2 on watchOS 26 is OK, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Of course it should work just fine, but, just as confirmation, I just replaced my SE2 with an SE3 last week and I can confirm that it can be set to unlock my iMac running Sequoia (though I am on 15.7.7, that shouldn’t make a difference.)

Doug, thanks so much for confirming that! I managed to catch a Prime Day sale and the SE 3 is on its way.
