Any Mac apps for running an iOS app?

I have a Lennox heat pump system/thermostat that allows a Lennox iOS app on my iPhone to view temps and control scheduling, etc. This app will NOT run in Mac OS 15.8.1 on my Studio M1 Max.

Is there a Mac app into which I can run this Lennox iOS app?

Have you tried using iPhone mirroring?

You might try searching for a third party app that can control your heat pump from your Mac without using the iOS app at all.

Many “smart home” devices use standard protocols for communications and control, so try searching for your model number and macOS.

As I know essentially nothing about iPhone mirroring, I clearly have some research ahead of me! Thanks for the tip.

Always a possibility, if the other direction doesn’t work out.

Many iOS apps can also be run natively on your Apple Silicon desktop. In the App Store, search for the app. Click on the iPhone & iPad Apps tab at the top of the results page, if it’s not already selected.

already tried that and it won’t run. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Could it be possible that iPhone Mirroring will work better in a more recent macOS than 15?

Suggest you get that Studio up to the latest release, 27.2. I think mirroring started with iOS 18. MANY companies build their app just for the phone. I have a number of for controlling varrious things in my buiding and none of them even run on a iPad.

In addition to whatever else you try, please send a message to Lennox customer support. It may be a simple matter for their software people to make their iOS app compatible with macOS, but they will have no motivation to do so if nobody asks for it.

good suggestion.

How about some sort of iOS VM where I can install the Lennox iOS app?

Does Lennox offer web access to the thermostat? I have a number of IoT devices that use both the app and the web for access.
