What do you do with a surplus Mac?

I never trash, sell or banish in anyway old Macs until they simply won’t operate. They’re too useful for running old software if nothing else. For example I have a 3D design program that cost well over $1200. Prohibitive Upgrade costs, as well as the direction the app took makes my ancient Mac (circa 2009?) a very valuable workhorse.

Ohhh I so mis my Apple IIc; it was the computer I used for my doctoral thesis, my research, and just plain everything for years. It was so great. I remember having to insert a floppy in order to spell check my work lol. So neat. Wish I had never given it away when I moved to the Mac. Found memories.

I upgraded mine with an Applied Engineering Z-RAM Ultra III which gave me a whopping 1MEG of RAM! I also had it upgraded so I could use 3.5" floppies.
