Vivaldi 7.3

Originally published at: Vivaldi 7.3 - TidBITS

Vivaldi Technologies has released Vivaldi 7.3 with a free, built-in virtual private network (VPN). Powered by Proton VPN (governed by the same Swiss non-profit that operates Proton Mail), Vivaldi’s VPN is turned on by simply clicking the button in the toolbar, though a Vivaldi or Proton account is required for VPN access. After clicking the Connect button, you’re routed to the fastest free server auto-selected from up to five countries. (We were given the US, Japan, Netherlands, and two unspecified countries.) If you want to select a specific server or route through a particular country, you’ll be shifted to the Proton website, where you’ll be presented with options for monthly (€4.99) or annual (€47.88) subscriptions. (Free, 214.1 MB, release notes, macOS 11+)
