I have 3 Apple Lightning cables I haven’t used for long time – all in like-new condition (1-meter length). Any suggestions on where I can donate them so someone can get use from them?
Or should I just take them to Best Buy to be recycled?

I put numerous Lightning cables in a bag in a cupboard, thinking the next step was to recycle them. Then found I needed a few of them to charge older devices such as Airpods, mice, keyboards and an Apple TV Remote. One handy cable has a USBc plug and a snap on Lightning adaptor.
I’m with Michael here, we have a surprising amount of peripherals from Trackpads to AirPods Pro still working which need a lightning cable. You probably know yourself if you do, you may get visitors who need one, pop one in a drawer maybe? I bet Goodwill will take them, a call would determine that.

Goodwill is a good suggestion. I still find myself ordering Lightning cables now and then. Used Lightning cables are at a price point where they’re not worth trying to sell through places like eBay, where shipping costs can be as much as the product, especially when weighed against the cost of a new cable through Amazon Prime or similar.
Local sources, like Goodwill, a small computer repair shop, or even Craigslist or FB marketplace are reasonable options for low (but not negligible) cost tech items that are still useful.

You can also call a local food pantry - they may allow their clients to take things like chargers and lightning cables.
