I don’t expect Apple to provide backdoors or not to fix security issues. But I do expect the outcome will be removing end-to-end encryption for Apple’s services for UK users. Presumably Google will have to comply too (if they haven’t already).

Why “worldwide” part of the demand is overreach.

Australia has similar legislation, but (as far as anyone can tell) this has not been used against Apple or Google.
