Should I upgrade a Mac Studio M1 from Ventura to Sonoma?

I asked around a year ago and decided against based on many negative comments.

Some apps (chatGPT) only run on Sonoma. It’s not critical but I will have to upgrade at some point.

I’d say you answered your own question there. If upgrading is not critical but you cannot run software that is important to your work or interests, your decision seems to be more about if “some point” has arrived than whether you should upgrade.

FWIW, I was one of the people who was force-upgraded to Sonoma. Since then, I haven’t had any real problems.

Apple did rearrange the system settings a bit, but that sort of thing is to be expected for any major OS update. But none of may apps broke, which is the most important issue for me.
