Microsoft has released version 16.97 of Office for Mac with improvements for Outlook and updates to email notifications for PowerPoint and Word. Outlook now enables you to upload large files to OneDrive and attach them as links, updates the Copilot Summarize feature’s default language to use the content language of the conversation, lets you personalize Outlook with Copilot AI-generated themes, resolves an issue where contact card details weren’t loading when clicking on a contact’s name, and fixes a bug where emails were not grouped in conversation in legacy Outlook client. PowerPoint and Word notification emails for mentions, tasks, comments, and replies now contain context previews for files protected by Microsoft Purview Information Protection encryption, with the email inheriting the document’s security policies.
