The “Dismiss” option apparently will do this but says it is a permanent block so new posts to the thread will not show up. I want to mark several older threads that have very many old unread posts as read with out having to open each thread at read each and every post in the thread, yet still be able to receive new posts, if any, to the thread.
You don’t need to actually read all the posts. If you open the thread and then tap the “End” key on your keyboard, to scroll to the bottom, Discourse will mark the entire thread as read.
You still have to open every thread, but you don’t have slowly scroll through it all.
