Has Nisus Software folded?

For the past few days the Nisus website has been down, and there has been one ‘net article that the company seems to have shuttered.

I wonder if anyone knows for certain or cares to comment. I can’t think of any word processor that comes even close to Nisus Writer Pro, and I must have looked a well over a dozen. Some version of Nisus has been my most-important piece of software for over thirty years.

I was able to download a full version/installer to keep for future use, and I hope it’s a long time before MacOS no longer supports it.

Fingers crossed. I’d hate to see this. All my long form docs are in Nisus Writer Pro.

Yes, please do post an update when you can. I was deeply invested in it in the ’90s (replacing, for me, the still-lamented FullWrite Professional). I could never warm to the OS X versions, though, and my needs for its poly-lingual capabilities waned at the same time.

I’m afraid I still have a lot of unconverted documents…. (I know, I know!)
