Just a quickie.
Has anyone successfully used a FW drive (via the adaptors) on a Tahoe mac or does it not work at all?
Just assessing future upgrades (as I have many FW drives in regular use).
Thanks.

It does not work at all.
Not at all. That’s why I back out to Sequoia.
Various tech websites advise:
Note also that intel Macs won’t be supported under the next macOS so, to me, it seems pointless to upgrade any Intel Mac to Tahoe.
I am still on Sequoia and the Tahoe nagging is getting worse. As others have noted, it is all too easy to fall into the upgrade trap: Install Now or Install Tonight. I have to quit Settings to avoid either as there is no Cancel.
As with the old iOS 18 beta trick, you can avoid most Tahoe nag messages by choosing the Sequoia Beta track in “Software Update” in the “System Settings” app and then briefly turning off the Beta track when a new general release of Sequoia is issued. Carefully install the general release, and then switch back to Beta in Software Update. You’ll still get an occasional notification if you enable the Sequoia Beta stream, but the nagging is much less frequent.
