Bombich Software has issued Carbon Copy Cloner 7.1.6, the official qualification build for macOS 27 Golden Gate. The drive-cloning and backup utility adds a search button to the header of the Snapshots table for easier access to the Snapshot Comparison Browser, improves Snapshot Comparison Browser search indexing performance on SSDs by up to 3x, implements a change to get the Finder to update the size of a bundle file more proactively, brings a friendlier label to protected snapshots when selected as the source to a Restore task, updates the memory management for the mini task progress window to ensure it doesn’t remain unresponsive onscreen for macOS 26 Tahoe users, and fixes a logic error that avoided enabling ownership on a remote Mac destination.
