Sonny Software has released Bookends 15.4.4 with a refreshed user interface for the reference management tool. The groups pane has been reworked as a modern native sidebar, while the Summary view, Inspector panes, Term Lists, and other controls throughout the app have also been updated. The update enables you to assign keyboard shortcuts to static groups to add or remove references with a keystroke, allows you to filter results you receive from sources like PubMed and Google Scholar, updates the watch folder to handle unusual edge cases, improves handling of automatic note and PDF annotation extraction to folders, updates the Google Scholar advanced search to match the online version, and improves handling of text color when performing copy and paste while in Dark mode.
