Here we go again! Apple has started inviting media to an event in Los Angeles on 28 October 2026. The tagline is “Pro and tell,” suggesting a more professionally oriented event than last week’s “Welcome home” product launch (see “Apple Announces “Welcome Home” Product Launch for 13 October 2026,” 8 October 2026). Once again, there won’t be a public video presentation, although mainstream publications will undoubtedly have quick coverage.
Rumors suggest Apple plans to announce new high-end MacBook models with touchscreens, OLED displays, and a Dynamic Island along the lines of the iPhone’s. More prosaically, others expect an M6-powered version of the base-level MacBook Pro.
Other products that have been batted around as candidates for this release event include an M6-powered version of the iMac and an updated model of the iPad mini with an A20 chip, OLED screen, and landscape-orientation camera.
