Today, I was doing gentle computer housework and discovered that those splendid animations in the aerial category for screen savers in Sequoia have a surprise. If you go to:
FWIW, on my Sonoma installation, this directory contain 13MB.
But I’ve never run this screen saver. It may well be that this directory is a cache of downloaded animation/video content, and therefore grows as the screen saver gets new updates.
I would like to think (hope) that Apple will consider this cache as purgeable content, so it can be blown away when storage is required for real work. But in the absence of any other information, I have no way of knowing if this is actually the case.
