After subscribing to one of the Indiegogo initiatives I regularly get updates on new projects and gadgets. Most of them not really interesting but one drew my attention. Winston is supposed to be the big thing in internet privacy. The device is placed between the cable modem and the router and should shield your own devices (mobile, IOT and pc) against intrusions and privacy leaks. It also works as a VPN device. The Winston comes with a service subscription payable per month, year or once for a lifetime. I only wonder whose life we are taking into consideration?
All this looks pretty promising and to my taste a bit “too good to be true”.
Technical specifications are very sparse.
Does anyone have more details on or even hands on experience with this?
