I was just looking at this Apple Support article and stumbled over its use of “Apple Devices.” Does anyone know what Apple means, given that it’s in the context of making iOS device backups to the Finder (macOS) or iTunes (Windows)?

It’s the new Windows Store companion app from Apple that does syncing.

Ah! Thanks for clearing that up. Needless to say, searching on “Apple Devices” doesn’t work well.

On the Apple Support article that you mentioned,

scroll down to item “4” that says “Open an Apple Devices, iTunes, or Finder window on your computer and select your device.”
Click the link “select your device” which opens the page

That page has the “View your device in the Apple Devices app” section.
