According to 9to5 Mac, US residents will be able to watch F1 races live via an Apple TV subscription at a much cheaper rate than a direct subscription. No indications if this will be extended to other countries

If you have an Apple TV subscription, F1 is supposed to be available at no extra cost. Since the Apple TV annual subscription is cheaper than the highest-level F1 subscription, it makes sense for hard-core F1 fans to obtain their access via Apple TV. For Apple TV folks who currently have no interest in F1, it’s a chance to experience it at no risk.
If you have never subscribed to F1, you must verify your registration via an email message sent to you before activating the link.
