Pasting used to work between my MacBook Pro and iPhone, but at some point it stopped functioning. It worked great between my iMac and iPhone—clearly something with the MBP, not the iPhone. I scoured the web, but could never discover how to make it work again.
I got inspired today and, and bingo! I got it working again. Here’s how (who’da thunk it?):
Settings/Battery/Options/Wake for network access was set to “Only on Power Adapter”. I changed it to “Always” and voilà! It worked—and with PasteBot, even!
I don’t know whether it should work when set to power adapter or not; maybe just toggling something (anything) did the trick. I don’t plan to experiment to find out!
