I bought a refurbished 2017 iMac Retina 27" 4.2GHz with 2TB drive from Apple.
It came with macOS 10.14.6 Mojave. I added OWC memory to a total of 48 GB.
I migrated everything from my mid-2012 MacBook Pro, macOS 10.12.6 Sierra.
The iMac seems to work fine.
But, nearly every time it wakes up, it shows a box with “SyncServer quit unexpectedly”.
(There is a 2010 Mac Pro running OSX 10.6.8 on my home ethernet.)
Today I re-installed macOS Mojave and that seems to have worked fine.
Any idea how to get rid of this error message?
I have clicked “Report” to report it to Apple many times.
After re-installing macOS 10.14.6 the "SyncServer quit unexpectedly” box has not re-appeared.
Problem solved.
