SuperDuper 3.10

Originally published at: SuperDuper 3.10 - TidBITS

Shirt Pocket has released SuperDuper 3.10 with improvements to backup reliability and user interface. The backup app is now more explicit about what is happening during replication by writing a line to the log about what’s going on whenever you open the Log window, makes the progress bar more visible during copying (macOS 10.15 Catalina and later), adds more checks to help to protect against copying to the incorrect volume, improves “Clone File” support with APFS volumes, and resolves an issue where created snapshots were not always unmounted. (Free for basic functionality, $27.95 for additional features, free update, 9.9 MB, release notes, macOS 10.13+)

Yes, V3.10 of SD was released last week. As expected, it works flawlessly. Once again, Dave Nanian has come through. SD does (and continues to) make bootable backups. Just so grateful we have someone like David around. He never gave up with all the problems Apple was causing regarding bootable backups. But David “plowed” through it, using innovation to get around Apple’s faults.
