Hello! I would like to use the new Apple Studio Display with my 15” 2019 Intel Core i9 MacBook Pro. All the literature I’ve seen states that Apple Silicon and macOS Tahoe are required, but I’m wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to test the new Studio Display with an Intel machine to see if it works despite not meeting the listed minimum specifications. thanks, nils

You could do that. I doubt it though. Apple would list it if it were possible. You do have other options with similar specs for a lot less money, discussed elsewhere on this forum. They should work.

hello, i was able to walk into an apple store and an employee said it was no problem to test with my 15” 2019 Intel Core i9 MacBook Pro. just unplugged a display from a mac studio and plugged it in. most everything worked just fine. not working was center stage, some sound options, and that’s all i could see. it’s a crisp screen and the sound is fantastic.
