C-Command Software has published SpamSieve 3.3.2 to address Microsoft’s upcoming end of support for the legacy Outlook for Mac client. While Microsoft has extended support for the legacy client until 9 October 2029, some users will no longer be able to connect to Exchange accounts starting in October 2026 (due to the retirement of Exchange Web Services). SpamSieve won’t be able to support the New Outlook for Mac client because Microsoft has reversed its plans to support AppleScript (which SpamSieve requires for its integration with Outlook). For more details, see this C-Command help page (with recommended alternatives) and this Microsoft support page.
The spam-filtering utility also improves error reporting when moving spam messages in Apple Mail, includes checkbox values such as for the Locked and Enabled columns when copying from rules windows, works around an Xcode change that caused crashes when reading the corpus database, deals with a bug where Apple Mail failed to move Gmail messages out of a training mailbox, and resolves an issue in macOS 27 Golden Gate where the Dock icon wasn’t hidden.
