"Sorry there was a problem with Apple Podcasts" on HomePod mini updated to 15.1

I’ve been getting the message “Sorry there was a problem with Apple Podcasts” on my HomePod Mini updated to 15.1.

I got this mainly to listen to news (NPR, BBC). And, now it’s just an Apple brick.

Does anyone know of a fix at this time!

Have you tried playing one of your usual news channels using the Podcasts app on your associated iPhone? It’s possible, even likely, that the problem is there, rather than on the HomePod mini itself.
