Sequoia on 2020 Intel iMac 27"

I’ve been lazy and I’m still running Big Sur on my iMac. What are your experiences with upgrading to Sequoia with this hardware?
2020 27" iMac with 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5700 8 GB, 32GB RAM.

Runs very well on my slightly older 2019 iMac - 3.6 GHz 8-Core i9, AMD 580X 8GB, 96 (more than needed) GB RAM. I upgrade it each year and for minor updates. Yours will upgrade and then run Sequoia just fine.

Avoid surprises: Make sure you update your apps to versions supported by (or working with) Sequoia.

Avoid disaster: Make sure you have good Time Machine backup with Big Sur (in case you need to go back) and don’t let Sequoia touch it until you are happy with the upgrade.

You’ll be fine. I’ve noticed that the in-box apps are a bit slow to load initially, but once the cache is warmed up, you should be all right. Not a bad idea to upgrade your RAM (third-party options available) so your system feels responsive after a short while of using it. But that’s all.

That’s very similar to my 2020 27-inch iMac, and Sequoia seems to run fine.

Thanks everyone! I have another 16GB RAM I can put in, I just need to check a couple of my applications to make sure they will run in Sequoia.
