Eternal Storms Software has released ScreenFloat 2.3.8, giving you more control over shadows in window captures. The screen capture now lets you remove shadows at any time, or on the fly while drag-and-dropping to other apps or exporting. The update also improves responsiveness when skimming through videos in floating shots, adds a Recapture Control widget (macOS 26 Tahoe or newer), adds a setting to copy new shots automatically, improves the color fidelity of screen recordings, overhauls the menu bar icon menu, improves the GIF export’s performance and reliability, fixes a bug where copying a still image from a video to the clipboard resulted in the video being copied, addresses artifacts that could appear around floating shots when transparency was involved, and resolves a crash when using the color panel. Version 2.3.9 was quickly issued to fix a potential crash when exporting shots.
