RRS feed doesn't get the Verify Your Backups post

I accidentally noticed that it was Friday the 13th, rechecked the RSS feed (Vienna), and there was no IVYBD post. Checked the website and there it was. I presume this is because it’s a repost from time to time, but it would be nice if it would show up in the feed. If something isn’t in rss, it basically doesn’t exist.

Trundling off to check the backups and pass the link to a few people…

This is true! Well, I’ll eventually read an email too (at least the subject and first sentence)

I think I saw the post in RSS last night but it’s definitely there now.

Sorry for the late reply on this. I don’t have an exact answer but would note that that article is a complete outlier. I first published it many years ago, and every Friday the 13th, I change its published date to put it back at the top of the TidBITS home page. No other article gets this treatment.

So I’m not at all surprised that it might be weird when it comes to things like RSS feeds. :man_shrugging:
