Permanent Change Font in Notes

Notes is good enough for my information storage system. BUT, I really would like to have a different font! Old eyeballs need something different. Would like to change this permanently, but, have no clue as to how to do that. Anyone else done this and willing to share?

No direct way to do that. You can set a larger default text size in the Settings which may help older eyes. The only other thing is to set up a note as a template with a font with text styled as you wish and then saving and pinning it so it’s readily available for duplication.

Thanks for the advice. I did find my way into the various menus and can set up something that is workable for me. They’re really are a lot of options in Notes!

Again, thanks for the link! I have finally figured out that there are quite a few ways to “mess” with the text on the screen. Which I do sometimes. Works OK, just wish there was a “template” kind of setup.

Depending on what you mean by “template”, it may be possible to create a Shortcut to format a note template. It can’t set fonts, but it can create a note with predefined text.

Here is a basic method that creates a “template” using Markdown in a text field, converts it to rich text, and then creates the note. Markdown isn’t strictly required, but it allows defining headers, list, and formatting. This link shows how to put the Shortcut together. Running the shortcut creates the Note template.

I hope this is helpful.
