Passwords app - are notes possible?

In the new Passwords app it seems that unlike with most password managers that there is no place to enter notes (e.g. answers to questions you may be prompted with). Am I overlooking that?

Yes, you can add notes. Open the app, tap the saved entry, hit “edit” top-right, which will expose a Notes field.

It’s not nearly as featured as something like 1Password, which lets you add additional password field, etc.

This was actually already the case with Sonoma. Both Passwords in Settings and in Safari Prefs had support for notes.

I tried that earlier and just didn’t notice it. It’s under the website. Thanks.

Now I have to consider whether to keep on using my current password manager, which isn’t bad, but sort of old, and syncs via Dropbox and sometimes needs manual resyncing, or to switch over to Passwords.

Thanks.

The one thing that drives me nuts about Apple’s Passwords (and it was occuring with the previous System Settings version) is that as soon as I open it up, it wants to connect to all the websites listed and my Little Snitch goes crazy wanting verifications ON EVERYTHING. I usually end up quitting it. Why does it do that?

My guess would be that it’s trying to get icons for each of the web sites. Yeah, I just confirmed it by opening the app: If you rarely use it you can watch some of the icons slowly pop into place.
