iDrive got mentioned here: Recommendations for 4 TB Thunderbolt SSD? - #31 by ace I did a quick look at the iDrive website, and wasn’t quite clear how to use it to back up either my entire Mac, or a significant chunk of storage on that Mac. If I create a Bucket and select, for example /Users/emery, do I have to do that every day to get the equivalent of a daily back up of my local user files? Is that interface smart enough to detect and not copy what hasn’t changed?
In general, how do people use offsite file storage for efficient backup? (If I could open and mount a remote filesystem, e.g. the old NFS approach, I could use something like Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate local files on the remote mountpoint.)
