Notifications from the talk.tidbits.com website

This seems to lurk in ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/RemoteNotifications.

I have deleted it repeatedly under Sequoia and Monterey and it keeps coming back, always defaulting to all options enabled. I have one other site that I actually visited exactly ONCE, that does this. WT…?

I was NEVER informed that this was installed, or reinstalled, much less fully enabled.

Set deny at
Safari Settings > Websites > Notifications > talk.tidbits.com

In fact, chances are most people would be better off unticking the checkbox below that says Allow websites to ask for permission to send notifications

Thanks, Simon, but I do not have “Allow websites to ask…” checked and there are no websites listed as having asked, so I can’t deny them.

Hmm, in that case you might just try this. Allow websites to ask and reload talk.tidibits.com so it asks. When it does, deny it. Then you can set the global pref back to your preferred setting.

Been debating that myself. I’ll give it a try. Thanks, Simon.

Well, that didn’t do it. But, I kept banging on it (and banging on it), until they appear to be gone. Not sure what did it (but many resets in both Monterey and Sequoia were involved).

I don’t think it had anything to do with either of the two sites involved. I think they just got caught in Safari’s whimsy, or mine.
