LibreOffice has this beat hands down as it can open MANY more formats than the SoftMaker products plus it looks like LO can also save/export to more formats than the SM products. LO can even open formats that MS Office won’t touch.

In my experience, the majority of users aren’t looking for an Office product that can open many formats. Most are acutely concerned about compatibility with the ubiquitous Microsoft file formats. In my testing, the SoftMaker products are surprisingly better at this than LibreOffice. I’m surprised because I would have expected SoftMaker to have been using the same open source translators as LibreOffice (and all the other OpenOffice siblings) does.
