Microsoft Office for Mac 16.84

Update focused on new features and improvements for Outlook. ($149.99 new for one-time purchase, $99.99/$69.99 annual subscription options, free update, macOS 12+)

If I interpret the MS Office 16.84 update notice correctly, I need MacOS 10.15+ to be able to update. When I try to update on my 10.15.7 iMac, I’m told that I need an OS upgrade to get the Office updates. Speciically am told that I need macOS 12 or later.

Microsoft’s release notes say:

A minimum of macOS Monterey is required to install versions 16.78 or later.

And they further state that they support the last three releases of MacOS, so that’s Sonoma, Ventura, and Monterey. I think the last three releases has been Microsoft’s policy for a while now.

Thanks for the confirmation Doug. That’s what I am seeing. So article should indicate MacOS 12.0+

Yep. I’ve updated it. We start from the previous version of Watchlist items when doing new ones, so missing an update like that can carry through for a bit. Thanks!
