Being able to combine article comments and general TidBITS Talk discussions in the same platform was one of our big goals, especially since TidBITS Talk had completely separate subscription info in the previous system, making it a lot more work to administer.
My hope is the people will come here for article comments, and Discourse will show them lots of cool other conversations that are going on throughout the system, so they’ll stay and participate more.
