My mother noticed just recently that the test calls we were making to my number while troubleshooting showed up in her Recents list as being to someone in Johore, Malaysia! Basically, the iPhone was parsing my phone number wrong, so it got the 607 area code as +60, which I assume is the Malaysia country code.
